Travellers to Anguilla, on a German cruise ship – Hamburg – sailing through the Caribbean, found it exciting and rewarding when they visited Heritage Collection Museum at East End.
Mr Austin Connor of Bennies Travel & Tours was assigned as tour operator to the cruise liner which was anchored at Road Bay.

Speaking in English in the crowded front room of the museum, on behalf of her fellow visitors, a spokeswoman commented: “I am very impressed with this museum because it covers so much information about the island. I cannot say too much about the island itself, as we have just been here for may be an hour or so, but I must say the weather is fantastic. I hope I will come back some time.”

She stressed that museums, like Heritage Collection Museum, were important for the preservation of history and the enlightenment of persons.

“I think people, visiting museums, will not forget about history and will learn from it,” she observed. “I think that for us, foreigners, we cannot read everything about different cultures and things like that, but you get closer to history if you understand about it through what you see.”
